Arquitectura X is an architecture firm based in Quito, Ecuador, founded by architects Adrián Moreno Núñez and María Samaniego Ponce. The firm is recognized for its innovative approach and use of local construction techniques, integrating traditional materials with contemporary design.
Foundation and Team
Adrián Moreno Núñez and María Samaniego Ponce, both born in Quito in 1972, graduated from the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo at the Universidad Central del Ecuador in 1999 and 1998, respectively. Together, they founded Arquitectura X, developing projects ranging from residential to public architecture, with an emphasis on harmonious integration between construction and environment.
Studio Philosophy
Arquitectura X's philosophy is based on creating spaces that respond to the specific needs of the context and users, using local materials and traditional construction techniques. This approach aims to root architecture in its place, ensuring sustainability and respect for the environment.
