Atelier Général is an architecture firm based in Montreal, founded by architects Alexis Naylor and Stephanie Plourde.
The agency is working to develop personalized architecture through simple means, focusing on space and light. It is guided by the pursuit of simplicity, in expression and essence. For each situation, the response is sober and right, but imbued with the intangible, that which brings space to life. Atelier Général tackles projects of various scales and natures, each developing in its own way a sensitive and ever-evolving approach that always aims to enhance individual and collective experiences of space. The agency's work has been recognized through numerous publications and awards, such as the First Prize for the Paysages en dialogue competition, organized by the National Capital Commission in Quebec City in the fall of 2014. More recently, Atelier Général was selected among the 30 Canadian architecture firms breaking new ground with Azure Magazine.
