BALANCE is an international architecture studio based in Turin, known for its participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale 2021. In 2023, it received the prestigious BigMat award for the "Grand Italian Works" category with the Bicocca Superlab project, while in 2022 it was distinguished with the "Young Talent of Italian Architecture" award conferred by the National Council of Architects (CNAPPC). Since 2011, the studio has been operating in the fields of architecture, workspaces, large installations, and urban planning, with projects featured in prominent magazines such as "Architectural Review," "Arquitectura Viva," "Detail," "Domus," "The Plan," "Abitare," "Platform," and "World Architecture."
The BALANCE studio has showcased its works in cities such as Turin, Milan, Brescia, Venice, Rome, Selinunte, Paris, New York, Ljubljana, Kyoto, Tirana, and Tashkent. The current team consists of Alberto Lessan, Jacopo Bracco, Giorgio Salza, Giulia Barbero, Alejandra Mora, Eudes Margaria, and Claudio Carrieri. Alberto Lessan and Jacopo Bracco are also professors of Architectural Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan, the Polytechnic University of Turin, and IAAD Turin. BALANCE bases its vision on the idea that architecture is an art of three-dimensional assembly and composition, realized through the plastic organization of primary materials.
