CN10 architetti was founded in 2004 by Gianluca Gelmini. The study deals with architectural design and recovery of historical heritage at different scales of intervention. Over the years the studio has participated in national and international competitions obtaining prizes and awards. CN10 architects has carried out various public and private assignments. Among the most significant: the restoration work on the churches of San Giorgio and San Giuliano in Bonate Sotto (BG); the restoration of the church of Botta di Sotto il Monte, the recovery of Palazzo Furietti Carrara in Presezzo (BG), the expansion of the Oratory and the restoration of the Pastoral Center of Carvico (Bg), the restoration of the Torre del Borgo in Villa d 'Adda (BG), the recovery of the former Novafeltria Mining School (Rn). Every action inevitably causes changes, every new construction as well as any restoration involves a more or less radical transformation of the territory. Only by being aware of this condition of architecture itself is it possible to act with the utmost respect towards a given environment, questioning, if necessary, its very reason for being. It is an attitude supported by a certain autonomy with respect to the possible conditioning imposed by the place and by history, a position that claims the secularity of the architectural project. This does not mean remaining indifferent to the context but understanding its most intimate relationships, understanding its characters, forms and matter, to make a synthesis more or less consistent with the initial program
