Education and specialization
Ilaria Nava, born in 1978, studied architecture at the Ecole d’Architecture Paris La Villette and at the Politecnico di Milano, where she graduated with honors in 2003. She has a post-graduate specialization in sustainable architecture and green buildings.
In 2005, she founded INS Ilaria Nava Studio, through which she develops projects in various sectors and at different scales, from urban planning to architecture and interior design.
Teaching and academic research
She is a lecturer at universities and conferences, author of books and articles in industry magazines, and a member of various committees in Italy. Alongside her profession, she is involved in academic teaching, serving as an Assistant Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, teaching Architectural Technology and Urban Design.
Institutional role and social commitment
She holds an institutional role as Councilor for Urban Planning and member of technical-political committees, collaborating with organizations, institutions, real estate companies, and builders. Since 2006, she has been involved in volunteer projects as the lead architect for an NGO in Rwanda, gaining professional experience in Africa, particularly in Ghana and Mozambique.
