Onda Arquitectura is an architectural design studio based in Madrid and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, renowned for its distinctive projects that encompass a wide range of typologies, including residential, infrastructure, and commercial buildings. The studio has received national recognition by winning numerous competitions and has also stood out internationally through prestigious publications such as ArchDaily and Architizer. The design approach focuses on creating unique environments and objects that enrich the spaces they inhabit. Under the leadership of Javier Haddad and Juan Ramón Landeira, Onda Arquitectura relies on a flexible and versatile team that collaborates with specialized consultants to meet the specific needs of each project, adapting innovative and tailored solutions.

Sustainable Innovation and Advanced Methodology

Onda Arquitectura adopts an advanced working methodology, implementing the BIM system for the development of projects that comply with current regulations and allow for rigorous control of the different phases of the process. The studio is committed to respecting sustainability and environmental protection principles, with recognized expertise in managing requirements for LEED, BREEAM, and WELL international certifications. With deep experience in environmental procedures and methodologies, Onda Arquitectura integrates optimization measures from the early design stages to reduce energy demand and consumption. Javier Haddad: Leadership and Academic and Professional Experience

Co-director Javier Haddad, an architect and urban planner, brings extensive experience in the field, with internationally acclaimed projects. As the founder of Onda Arquitectura in 2014, he has garnered various awards and recognitions globally. Previously, he worked as a Design Manager for Apple in California, designing Apple Retail Stores in Europe and South America, including the stores in Puerta del Sol in Madrid, The Hague, and Village Mall in Rio de Janeiro. Throughout his career, Haddad has collaborated with Pritzker Prize-winning architecture firms such as SANAA, REX, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), designing iconic buildings like the New Museum in New York and the multifunctional Museum Plaza complex. In the academic realm, he has taught at TU Wien University in Vienna and participated in design reviews at prestigious American universities, including Berkeley and Syracuse. In collaboration with artist Haluk Akakce, he has also produced video installations exhibited in prominent venues such as the Whitney Museum and Deitch Projects Gallery.
