"Paolo D’Ippolito, industrial designer and communication since 1995, lives and works in Bassano del Grappa (Vicenza).
He bases his projects on the idea he relentlessly pursues, supporting it with formal cleanliness, appropriate technologies, and sometimes the complicity of irony. He prefers teamwork and a synergistic relationship with companies. With forays into graphics, cinema, narrative, and art, his ideas are for a multi-expressive view of the project.
He collaborates with companies in the architecture and design sectors in Italy and Japan. He is currently the communication manager of Nicolli in Colceresa (VI), a company specializing in continuous facades and architectural claddings. In 2012, he was the creator and co-founder of Codice – collective design, a group for the self-production of design objects with which he collaborated until 2017.
He has taught design history by invitation at various private and public institutions, founded Dovedesign (a sector search engine), and in 2004 co-founded AidA, a multidisciplinary design group. His products and projects have been exhibited in Florence, Vicenza, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Chicago, at Macef, and at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. He graduated in architecture in Florence with a research thesis on Spanish design from the 1980s."
