PLATAFORMArq was founded in 2007 by Paulo Borges – graduated in architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon – and Pedro Leitão – graduated in architecture from the Lusíada University of Lisbon.

Its journey

Based in the city of Covilhã, it started its journey with predominantly small-scale projects, particularly single-family houses, evolving towards more complex projects, mainly related to the industry – an essential pillar of the region's economy and employment – and collective housing, following the growth trend of the surrounding area.
Currently, PLATAFORMArq employs professionals with different specializations and its scope of intervention has progressively and constantly expanded, particularly with the opening to the tourism and services sectors, which currently represent the basis of several projects carried out by the team.

BODE Country House, the architecture trade union between past and present

The BODE Country House project represents a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. This luxury retreat, born from the renovation of ancient rural ruins designed by PLATAFORMArq, harmoniously blends into the hilly landscape, respecting the morphology of the territory and preserving the charm of the original structures.
