Having garnered extensive experience at prestigious design studios, Architects Shalini Chandrashekar and G. S. Mahaboob Basha joined forces to co-found Taliesyn in the year 2010 in Bangalore. With over 10 years of experience in the design field, the studio's practice is shaped on the premise that people, spaces, and objects are in constant dialogue with each other - it is this evolving interaction that drives the studio's impetus in creating spaces across various sectors of architecture. The studio has projects scattered along the southern front of India spanning a diverse portfolio of residential, hospitality, recreational, institutional, and cultural design genres.
The design tools curated by the studio enhance internal research processes and foster the evolution of conceptual frameworks. Spatial quality in the studio's vision is a balanced blend of emotional sensitivity, and the tangibility of design emerges in the form of detailed design processes. Exploration of materials based on their proximity to the site, physical properties, appearance, and the effect they introduce in a space is of paramount importance in every project.
