Wim Goes Architectuur
Tennisbaanstraat 74, 9000 Ghent, Belgium
Born in Ghent in 1969, **Wim Goes** obtained a Master's degree in Architecture from the School of Science and Arts Sint-Lucas, located between Ghent and **Brussels in Belgium**. His early career involved collaborating with architect H. Koch on **projects focused on self-built low-cost housing and urban planning**. Goes also enriched his experience by participating in workshops, notably one at the Atelier Maarten Van Severen, and exploring contemporary art. His dialogue with artists and art curators deeply influenced his perception of the individual's role in art and architecture, promoting an approach where human presence enriches and completes the works. This vision, reminiscent of the technique of Inverse Perspective, has guided both his studio work and academic research. **In 1999, Goes founded the studio Wim Goes Architectuur**, earning prestigious accolades such as the Belgian Architecture Award, the Belgian Award, the East Flanders Province Architecture Award, the Order of Architects Prize (BE), and the Architectural Review Prize (UK), among others. His work has been widely recognized and featured in numerous international architecture magazines, including titles such as A+U (JP), Architectural Review (UK), Mark Magazine (NL), D’Architectures (FR), Casa da Abitare (IT), C3 (KR), and Detail (DE), confirming his influence and contribution to the field of architecture.
