Apartment renovation CF, from ordinary to extraordinary

New Space Distribution

Designing means "presenting the future of their living spaces to the customer" in the words of the architects from L2 studio, specialized in home renovation. In the project of the CF apartment, this is exactly what happens: bringing spaces to life even before living in them. The new distribution of the apartment revolves around the bar corner, a structure sculpted in concrete that becomes the focal point of the environment. Not only an aesthetic gem, but also highly functional: equipped with a wine cellar and equipment for preparing cocktails, the bar corner is ideal for socializing and relaxing, welcoming guests into their own living comfort.

Living Room and TV Area

Following the same logical thread, the living room is characterized by a TV wall that extends up to the ceiling, equipped with a lower support surface for decorative objects or electronic devices. This design structure provides ample storage space, ensuring a tidy environment and impeccable aesthetic cleanliness.

Kitchen: Functionality and Design

Another highly functional and comfortable space is undoubtedly the kitchen, divided into three main areas:

1. Working area: Free of wall cabinets to increase the sense of space, with a large window for optimal natural lighting.

2. Breakfast area: Includes a central island for informal meals and additional space for food preparation, enhancing overall functionality.

3. Storage area: Equipped with ample storage spaces and a hidden door leading to the pantry.

Luxury Night Area

Even the night area is designed to offer maximum comfort and luxury. At the entrance of the bedroom, a spacious walk-in closet with illuminated ceiling welcomes the inhabitants, providing ample space to organize clothes and accessories. The calibrated lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making the walk-in closet not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing. Attached to the bedroom, a personal bathroom hidden behind a flush-to-wall door offers privacy and relaxation, with high-quality finishes and a minimal design.

Day Area Bathroom

The day area bathroom, despite receiving little natural light, is extraordinarily bright thanks to the use of large mirrors and careful lighting design. The mirrors amplify the available light, creating an airy and bright environment. Additionally, nighttime lighting is provided by four step lights, allowing the bathroom to be used without disturbing sleep. This bathroom also integrates a hidden space for washer and dryer, maintaining consistency in the environment.

Materials and Innovative Technologies

The architectural concrete flooring by Innovative Surface ensures visual continuity and uniform surfaces thanks to its velvety and resistant finish. This material offers a modern and sophisticated aesthetic, as well as durability and easy maintenance, making it ideal for environments with children and small animals. The vertical walls are without traditional baseboards, replaced by a perimeter skirting that enhances the overall aesthetics and facilitates maintenance.

Energy Efficiency and Comfort

For thermal and acoustic insulation, the project uses an internal coat on the perimeter walls made of mineral wool and thermal monoblocks for window installation, all with triple glazing, materials that offer excellent insulating properties. The underfloor heating is integrated with a localized mechanical ventilation system (MVHR), which allows for automatic air recirculation, improving indoor air quality and ensuring optimal thermal comfort. This system enhances energy efficiency, reducing consumption and minimizing environmental impact.

In summary, this project combines distinctive architectural elements with advanced technical solutions to create spaces that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable. The extensive renovation has transformed an ordinary environment into a modern and luxurious apartment, showcasing how innovation in the field of architecture and design can enhance the quality of daily life.
