The Biomimicry Phone Booth is born within the project for Silversquare Coworking in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, to provide users with a workspace that ensures the right acoustic comfort in an innovative way
The cabins are made of 3D printed concrete and, thanks to their shape, efficiently dissipate the sound produced inside them without the need for multilayer materials. The secret lies in the shape, inspired by structures created by nature, and the porous material that together improve the acoustic environment. The aesthetics of the Biomimicry Phone Booth is also a reinterpretation of natural organic forms, and its presence in environments helps create a beneficial and rebalancing space for users
