TP-40
FritsJurgens pivot hinge systems consist of two main components: a pivot hinge to be installed at the bottom of the door and an upper hinge to be positioned on the ceiling or at the top of the door. The upper hinge forms the upper end of the door's pivot axis and is responsible for securely anchoring the door in balance to the ceiling. One of the four available variants is TP-40.
The 40 mm upper hinge by FritsJurgens is designed with a fixed pivot point just 40 mm from the edge of the door, optimizing the use of available space. By being positioned close to the side of the door, it allows for maximizing the actual door opening, minimizing the footprint when the door is in the open position. This solution is ideal in situations where maintaining standard width openings is necessary, while ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The 40 mm upper hinge allows for maximum clear opening on doors and smaller openings, making it ideal for standard-sized doors and renovation projects. With its discreet presence and minimal distance from the adjacent wall, it minimizes visual clutter when the door is open, offering an elegant and functional design.
The 40 mm upper hinge comes in two distinct versions, specifically designed to meet the needs of doors with different weights. The Class B variant is ideal for lighter doors weighing up to 150 kg, and features a 10 mm pin. The Class G variant, on the other hand, is suitable for heavier doors weighing between 150 and 500 kg, and has a 15 mm pin. Both versions are compatible with the System M and System M+ hinges, which include an additional bracket and a cover plate specifically designed to facilitate the optimal installation of the 40 mm upper hinge.
