The EPS TWINPOR® insulating ICF formwork designed for seismic-resistant buildings with high thermal insulation
The innovative Climablock system allows the construction of reinforced concrete walls by integrating the mechanical strength of concrete and the insulating capacity of polystyrene.
The presence of EPS (polystyrene) on both the inner and outer surface of the wall minimizes thermal dispersion of the building envelope. The ICF formwork, remaining in place, insulates the building both in summer and winter, dramatically reducing energy and economic consumption.
The ICF formwork (Insulated Concrete Forms) eliminates thermal bridges, being continuous and homogeneous, and its technology allows for the construction of seismic-resistant buildings, providing high living comfort due to thermal and acoustic insulation and absence of moisture.
The polystyrene formwork is assembled in a simple and practical way, does not require specific labor or equipment, and is designed to receive the concrete pour and allow it to mature.
Furthermore, the use of Climablock allows for obtaining the most virtuous certifications in terms of energy quality such as: Class A, GOLD CASACLIMA House, NZEB Buildings, Passive House.
In reinforced concrete walls made with Climablock formwork, horizontal reinforcements can be placed at the maximum spacing allowed by the standard, which is 40 cm. The resulting advantages include the use of less reinforcement and less time required for structure construction, optimizing costs and construction times.
