The roof insulation panel system
Thanks to the Ventus® system, it is possible to create ventilated roofs using the base element in EPS TWINPOR® and condensation drainage channels to create thermally insulated roof packages with a ventilation chamber. This can be done for both new structures or renovations.
Ventus® can adapt to any project and need: it can simply function as insulation, can include ventilation with an OSB panel, or a cast-in-place concrete hood. The insulation panels have small channels on one of the surfaces that can serve different functions:
⦁ In the case of a ventilated roof, the channels collect and channel any condensation formed in the ventilation chamber downwards
⦁ In the case where the panels are used for the roof and completed with an upper concrete layer, the channels act as a mechanical anchor for the concrete slab to the insulation panel
The already high technical performance guaranteed by Ventus can be enhanced by combining the system with others, obtaining important certifications such as Class A, Casa Gold CasaClima, NZEB Buildings, and Passive House.
The base element of the Ventus system consists of an insulation panel with dimensions of 120×40 cm, obtained by molding sintered expanded polystyrene EPS 100 or 150 of the Twinpor white and black type, with a thickness of 64, 94, 124, and 184 mm depending on the desired thermal insulation and equipped with lateral battening and special dowels along the other two sides.
Ventus + OSB
The OSB panel that overlaps the Ventus system, which can be glued directly to the system surface or on battens that allow for ventilation channels, insulates the roof thermally and makes it ventilated. Thanks to the insulation provided by EPS, available in various thicknesses, the rooms under the roof can have comfortable temperatures both in winter and summer.
Ventus + Windi
The Windi system, a polypropylene element with a height of 5 and 10 cm with support feet, overlaid on the Ventus system, creates a ventilation chamber. When receiving the concrete pour, it creates a mass capable of providing thermal inertia to the roof. Supplied disassembled, they must be assembled on-site before the concrete pour.
Ventus + Concrete
The upper concrete slab and its shaping allow for better adhesion of the pour, and the roof is thermally insulated with high thermal inertia. The concrete is poured on-site after positioning the Ventus base elements on the roof.
Advantages
⦁ High thermal insulation in the winter season depending on the chosen thickness of the TWINPOR® panel;
⦁ Excellent roof performance even in the summer season thanks to ventilation and/or mass depending on the chosen configuration;
⦁ Presence of channels for draining any condensation or for mechanical anchoring of the upper concrete layer;
⦁ Increased living comfort;
⦁ Lightweight panels easy to handle even by hand;
⦁ Easy and fast installation;
⦁ Adaptable to any type and shape of surface;
⦁ Suitable for laying any type of overlying roof package.
Photovoltaic systems with SOLARVENTUS
The SolarVentus system combines Ventus + OSB + waterproofing membrane with a photovoltaic panel, allowing both the roof structure and the photovoltaic system to be installed in a single solution, achieving buildings with the best insulation and eco
