Brighton Park Neighborhood Network, a beacon of hope

The new headquarters of the Brighton Park Neighborhood Network in Chicago, designed by JGMA, is much more than a building: it is a symbol of resilience and inclusion that reflects the identity of a Latino community, transforming an urban space into a place of sharing.

Brighton Park: a community project signed by JGMA

Since 1997, the Brighton Park Neighborhood Network (BPNN) has been a pillar of support for the low-income Latin American community on the southwest side of Chicago. With the goal of promoting positive change, JGMA has completed the new BPNN headquarters, one of the architecture projects that celebrates the resilience and energy of the neighborhood. Located along historic Archer Avenue, this structure embodies the promise of continuity and hope for a better future.

A design that tells stories of culture and inclusion

The new headquarters is not just a building, but a visual manifesto of the neighborhood's collective identity. The extensive use of glass windows on the main facade invites passersby to peek inside and feel part of the activities. JGMA's empathetic design approach has brought to life welcoming and inclusive spaces, where the barriers between inside and outside dissolve, creating a place that lives and pulsates to the rhythm of the community.

A place of art and shared creativity

The ground floor has been designed for events and community gatherings, with a ceiling that serves as an art gallery for the works of local artists. This choice pays tribute to the artistic talent of the neighborhood, creating a unique atmosphere that celebrates culture and stimulates creativity. The orange and blue tones of the concrete facades reflect the colors of the BPNN brand and blend harmoniously with the mural created by the community, which wraps around the ceiling of the main hall.

Multifunctional Spaces for an Inclusive Mission

The internal layout is designed to promote a dynamic use of the spaces: private offices, open-plan areas, and meeting rooms coexist to meet the operational needs of BPNN and the requirements of the citizens. Every detail aims to promote interaction and facilitate activities that strengthen the social fabric of the neighborhood, offering an open and functional environment.

A green oasis for reflection and connection

On the top floor, a green roof and a terrace offer a peaceful space for staff, a place to reconnect with nature and take a break from the intense pace of daily activities. This small oasis contributes to physical and mental well-being, complementing the work with a touch of sustainability and environmental harmony.
