The modular project
2 Piezas "Two pieces", that's the name of the project that marks the beginning of the "tiny home" movement made in Spain: prefabricated modular houses that, produced in Spain, are later transported wherever desired.
The project, carried out by the delaVegaCanolasso studio, located in Toledo, Spain, consists of two volumes: the first, a house with simple and elegant architecture, resulting from a renovation, and the second, a custom prefabricated steel module.
2 Piezas "Two pieces", that's the name of the project that marks the beginning of the "tiny home" movement made in Spain: prefabricated modular houses that, produced in Spain, are later transported wherever desired.
The project by delaVegaCanolasso was completely custom-made and consists of a piece of steel sheet that completes the existing volume. The architectural firm specialized in innovative architectural projects has designed the structure consisting of a "first piece": a simple and elegant house, renovated and equipped with a continuous solar control facade and a self-regulating slat facade. Additionally, the addition of perimeter trees will protect the house from summer sun and allow it to filter through during winter periods.
The second piece, on the other hand, is a prefabricated module made of corten steel also custom-designed. Thanks to a filter, at sunset the sun is shaded, creating an antechamber to the house. The two pieces are one opaque and mysterious and the other spacious and exposed.
