The project "Antelia Citizien Forum", carried out by República Portátil in collaboration with ISAD, the Institute of Architecture and Design of Chihuahua, is located in the historic square of the city of Chihuahua, which was once the city market and nowadays is an important meeting point
Antelia Citizien Forum. A circular wooden cylinder brings together the city's inhabitants
Located in Merino Square, one of the first squares in the center of the Chilean city of Chihuahua dating back to 1709, the wooden installation called Antelia, by República Portátil, creates a space to meet and be sheltered from the extreme temperatures of the place

Because of the high temperatures that the city is subject to, which reaches forty degrees in summer, the space inside the square is always empty and despite being one of the most attractive places in the square, it is impossible to use it. And it is precisely for this reason that Antelia, a temporary installation that attempts to shade the circular space of the square, comes into play
The structure is composed of large and slender modules, and creates an airy image of the cylinder. The covering made of a light fabric gives the volume the impression that there is something beyond the space . Between the inner fabric and the outer edge of the structure there is a circular gallery that runs through the construction
