The single-family house AVOS, named after the red wine produced in the surrounding vineyards and located in the spa region of Lower Austria, was built by steinbauer architektur studio on wine terraces, with a spatial structure that is open on several levels

The house is completely adapted to the hilly terrain: the designers create a sequence that is not separated by doors, but by levels in both lateral and longitudinal directions. The center of the building is located at the height of 7 steps from the original floor, which is a living area with glass walls on three sides

The facade is clad in vertical charred wood slats, while inside the ceilings are made of sandblasted concrete, black steel and exposed screed, with large glass surfaces dominating the lower levels. The private levels feature white corian, oiled oak, and bright slots to the east
