B&B in Sicily inspired by tradition. Furnishings and decoration reflect the uniqueness of the place

A small accommodation facility located a few steps from the historic center of the baroque town of Noto. The stylistic choice that has characterized the entire design process is a mix of tradition and modernity. Typical elements of local tradition characterize the rooms providing a warm atmosphere and ancient style

"Filinona", thus the name of the small receptive structure, includes three rooms, different for surface and characteristics, spread on two levels through a staircase entirely covered with local white stone and illuminated with a bundle of hanging lamps in the shape of the classic Sicilian "cavagne"

Each room has details and peculiarities that make it unique and special, in fact, each of the three rooms draws inspiration from an element of local popular culture: Sicilian maps, wicker baskets, ceramic plates

Their placement on the wall is almost museum-like, respecting geometries and dimensions. Each room also has small tiles on the floor decorated with colours and motifs belonging to the island's iconographic memory. Patterns that from the entrance of each room develop continuously in their respective bathrooms, rising from the walls of the showers until they reach and colour the ceilings

The intent was to reproduce an atmosphere with objects, plants and ancient utensils that could encourage the customer to know the traditions, colors and culture of Sicilian craftsmanship

The breakfast room is designed as a place of common conviviality through the sharing of the only large table as it happened in the parties in the square or in the alleys of the historic city center. An oak wood top around which all the seats of different types are placed, almost as if to underline the uniqueness of each individual diner
