Barry Callebaut Operations Center: innovation between design and functionality

The project for the Barry Callebaut operational center was conceived with a clear and functional structure to support every business activity. The goal was to create a space that harmoniously integrated an academy, a greenhouse, a relaxation area, and an open office space, offering a stimulating and innovative environment. An environment that inspires, facilitates collaboration, and celebrates a culture of excellence. A tailor-made project that reflects the values of Barry Callebaut and its passion for innovation.

Reception: a journey through creativity

At the entrance, visitors are greeted by an imposing furnishing inspired by a library. This installation not only serves as a decorative element but also organizes the circulation flows, directing towards the area dedicated to the presentations of the master chocolatier. Here, thanks to an advanced audio and video system, one experiences an immersive journey into the art of chocolate making. The glass walls allow natural light to filter through, creating a bright and welcoming environment.

An academy of excellence

The area dedicated to the academy is equipped with support spaces designed down to the smallest detail: changing rooms, lockers, storage rooms, and professional kitchens that complete the functioning of the entire complex. Each element has been carefully designed by the Work+ studio to ensure efficiency and comfort, creating an ideal environment for learning and experimentation.

The greenhouse: a sustainable element

One of the most innovative elements of the project is the integrated greenhouse, which plays a fundamental role in improving the efficiency of the air conditioning system. Thanks to this solution, it is possible to maintain an ideal temperature to preserve the chocolate in the best conditions, while also respecting environmental sustainability criteria.

The Open Space Office: Collaboration and Breathtaking Views

On the other side of the main circulation area lies the corporate section, organized in an open space concept. Here, shared workstations, meeting rooms, and informal spaces for brief encounters overlook a spectacular city view, making every work moment more stimulating.

Relaxation with Panoramic Views

The relaxation area has been positioned along the perimeter to offer a striking panoramic view. This space invites relaxation and reflection, creating a perfect balance between intense work moments and rejuvenating breaks.

A design that enhances versatility

In this operational center, as in other interior design projects, a variety of configurations for work and socialization can be found: open workstations, standing work areas, private offices, lounge areas, and meeting rooms of various sizes. This approach allows to meet the flexibility and customization needs required by the teams.

Materials, lights, and details

The entire project is the result of a perfect combination of spatial distribution, choice of materials, variations in flooring, and a careful study of lighting. The textures and colors used contribute to creating a welcoming and dynamic atmosphere, in line with the identity of Barry Callebaut.
