The structure designed by Metaform Architetti, woven around the existing house and inspired by the Japanese art of the origami
The Architecture is inspired by the Art of the Origami. Wooden kiosk in Luxembourg
A folded sheet of paper that meets the needs of the project, while creating a relationship with the old and opening up to the surrounding nature: this is the concept of Metaform Architetti's project for the kiosk/restaurant in Bridel, Luxembourg

The idea was to integrate the new structure harmoniously into the natural setting while respecting the existing architecture by placing a light wood structure with glass openings into the landscape
The dynamic design orients the bar and dining areas outwards, directing views to the tall trunks of the trees. The rigid, self-supporting roof is based on the existing house and requires only a few structural adjustments due to its triangular shape
The main access is located at the front, thus restoring the distribution of the original function. The outdoor areas have been redesigned and renovated. The outdoor side terrace has been partially removed and replaced by a white sandy beach. The rear terrace has been redesigned to achieve a stronger connection with the rest
The project also includes the new kitchen and dining area, both located on the ground floor of the existing house. Under the new triangular structure, the smoking area together with the fireplace and a small dining room, introduce spatially the main area of over 200 m², dedicated to the dance floor around the bar
To preserve the identity of the pre-existing structure of the place, the new one consists of raw materials: burnt wood, polished concrete floor, crude steel, a terrace made of wood and white sand
