A space to showcase resort costumes and clothing: the Ocean Bou boutique in Montreal uses colors and shapes to create a sense of luxury and remind customers of the desire for the sea

Golden inserts that evoke luxurious sensations

One of Natasha Thorpe Design's retail projects, Ocean Bou, aims to create a sense of lightness and influence customers with its bright colors, evoking nostalgia for seaside vacations. The rack displays are designed to seamlessly blend into the space and, with golden inserts that evoke luxurious sensations, showcase the collection's garments of varying sizes; circular displays illuminate the most representative pieces

A visually interesting store visit

The space is enhanced by vaulted niches that amaze customers and make every moment of the store visit visually interesting. The wood of the furnishings creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere, while the design that plays with linearity and repetitiveness brings a sense of calm and soothes the eyes. The pre-existing maple wood floor, polished and polished, reveals its natural grain. A large golden anchor peeking out at passersby from the window becomes the iconic reference point of the boutique

The light project. Indirect light and whimsical pendant lamps

The lighting is studied in detail. The designer chooses indirect light that avoids the harshness of direct light and reveals the materials of the project in their three-dimensionality and brightness. Whimsical pendant lamps add an extra touch of fantasy with their beach hat shapes and stylized abstract winged creatures

Fitting rooms that protect customer vulnerability and furniture with maximum capacity

In the fitting rooms, the lighting is designed to flatter the customer in a moment of potential vulnerability, such as trying on swimwear. The fitting lounges are spacious and ensure privacy. Finally, the store's furniture is designed to offer maximum capacity with some double volumes that serve as easily accessible storage and deep drawers throughout the boutique
