Located on the heights of the village of Breitenbach, the Landscape Hotel 48° Nord is the result of the encounter between the French culture of Alsace and the Scandinavian one. This project stems from the collaboration between the landscaper Emil Leroy and the architect Reiulf Ramstad, and is deeply rooted in the local community, known for its commitment to sustainability.
The design of 48° Nord emphasizes cleanliness and linearity, reflecting the philosophy of a life in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The architectural approach aims for complete integration with the environment, through the construction of wooden cabins that naturally blend in with the Breitenbach landscape.
The 14 cabins of the Breitenbach Landscape Hotel, inspired by Norwegian Hytte, offer a perfect balance between privacy and panoramic views. Built on removable stilts and made of untreated local chestnut, these cabins represent an exceptional example of sustainability and environmental respect.
The interiors of the cabins embody the Nordic concept of Hygge, offering minimal and rustic spaces that invite relaxation and personal connection. Light wood, cozy furniture, and framed views create a welcoming atmosphere, transforming every stay into a unique and memorable experience.
