Located in the rapidly growing city of Rajkot, India, the Business Centrum Sales Pavilion is a temporary structure built for the sales offices of a real estate company

The Business Centrum Sales Pavilion designed by Playball Studio was built in a very short time and has a limited lifespan, until the real estate property for sale is completed. The business centrum commission included a meeting room, the site engineer's office, the reception, a pantry, and a bathroom. The site is a corner plot facing north with its longer edge aligned with a lively street that is 18 meters wide

Inspired by the shape created by the void between the foliage of the two existing trees, the pavilion features a volume that protrudes upwards, divided into two equal parts with the central entrance opening towards the reception. The meeting room then occupies one part of the space while the engineer's office and service areas take up the other side of this division. To further formalize the entrance, two beveled columns were added on both sides

The private nature of the function housed required that the interior spaces be visually shielded from the busy street: the front side becomes completely solid, while the back side of the pavilion is made up of large openings so that construction work can be constantly monitored

The decision to visually break down the large front side volumes into smaller fragments is once again inspired by the lush trees of the plot: their intertwined network of branches and leaves gave the idea for a scale-like pattern on the facade, with the depth increasing as they rise from the ground. This design creates dynamic views as the perception of the pavilion continues to change while moving along its length. In the color of terracotta that contrasts with the bright green of the trees, the scales, together with the vegetation, create ever-changing shadows and lights that have a magical quality
