Located on the hill north-west of the town of CastiglionFiorentino, near Arezzo, the Studio revisits the Tuscan nature of the building in a modern style. A journey through tradition, culture and artistic sense, infusing the contents with metropolitan and cosmopolitan ideas: these are the inspiring elements of the project
The property, the creative soul of a goldsmith company, wanted the house to comply with those standards of original extravagance that link it to the stylistic choices in the field of the goldsmith. The renovation of the house aimed to preserve the aesthetics of a rural building in the Tuscan countryside while letting the interiors impress the guests. The renovation of the house aimed to preserve the aesthetics of a rural building in the Tuscan countryside, while letting the interiors impress the guests
Hence the elegant and sophisticated interpretation given to the interiors, rich in objects, but also characterized by the materiality of the structures: from the limestone walls to the sandblasted and waxed beams. The theatricality of the project is ensured by the vertical cladding of the walls with stabilized greenery in the dining area on the ground floor, where the table with cappuccino marble top designed by the Studio for this house stands out in the centre
Inside the various rooms there are many furnishing objects designed by the studio in a limited series, such as the table made of solid cedar finished with wax and ash, a workmanship rediscovered in the workshop of a local craftsman, the twin lacquered consoles with metal inserts, the kitchen completely covered in marble with a suspended peninsula and the spectacular circular sofa in the living room on the ground floor
The focus is on the bond between past and present, amiably interpreted by the studio in the design of new pieces of furniture where the rediscovery of ancient techniques makes the work even more eclectic and modern
