The outcome of the project by ARCO Arquitectura Contemporánea for Casa PC145 is a four-story residence, arranged in an intriguing geometric composition with an appealing dynamic of facades. The main entrance, exclusively pedestrian, leads to a spacious foyer which opens up to the social area.
Spacious layouts and softened ambience from materials at Casa PC145 in the Caribbean
The design challenge for Casa PC145 was to maximize the potential of the 230 sqm plot near the sea in the gem of the Mexican Caribbean, Puerto Cancun.
The living area on the first level of the house serves as its very core and is seamlessly integrated with the outdoor terrace and pool, allowing the breadth and functionality offered by having a singular expansive space. The generously sized area, along with the dining room connected to the kitchen, communicates with the rear of the house, linking the well-equipped outdoors with the comforts of the indoor spaces
Casa PC145 can accommodate up to 14 guests. On the first level, three bedrooms have been crafted, each with its own balcony; two with complete bathrooms and one with both a bathroom and walk-in closet. The master bedroom is located on the second level, boasting a complete bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a wrap-around balcony
In the finish palette, neutral colors predominate: all the house's floors are finished with light gray porcelain, and the walls are painted with a selection of light shades. The fabrics in the house contrast with this basic neutrality, emphasizing the warmth of the spaces and creating a harmonious dynamic with the textures of the natural parota and walnut woods used in the carpentry pieces
