Competition for the Multimodal Transport Hub in Toulouse

The project for a new multimodal transport hub in Toulouse aims to ensure the optimal operation of all modes of transportation

Urban architecture that optimizes the intersection of flows

Toulouse is a rapidly expanding metropolis and serves as the backdrop for numerous projects by the ppa.architectures studio. In this case, the agency's designers are dedicated to the creation of an interchange hub for various modes of transportation. Pedestrians, cyclists, trains, buses, coaches, and private cars can intersect their flows here without conflicting. The urban architecture project integrates a regional railway station and will connect the city's neighborhoods, the ZAC Enova (Zone d'Aménagement Concerté), and the main cycle paths from east to west

Silo parking, pedestrian walkway, bus station, and train station

The project by ppa.architectures for the new Hub for the competition includes the construction of a silo parking, a pedestrian walkway, a control station, a bus station, in addition to the already mentioned integration of the train station. The project focuses on optimizing flows: pedestrians, cyclists, trains, buses, coaches, and cars must be able to move without conflicting, in an architecturally pleasing environment in its contemporary essentiality
