The project puts into practice a replicable model, in each of its components: architecture, economic logic, energy criteria, cultivation practices that can be integrated into forestry and reforestation actions. Hostel as a triangular module in Argentina. The trees define the built space
A replicable project, which develops considering the free space between the trees, made possible by the triangular matrix. The maximum flexibility was the pivotal point of this project by iR Arquitectura, which places the environment at the centre of the built space.
The architectural approach is developed according to a series the criteria. The first is to obtain a construction system that meets the primary needs. A system capable of adapting to the morphology of the mountain with the minimum possible impact, always bearing in mind that the building is located in an area to be reforested.
The triangular modulation allows maximum flexibility and is perfectly positioned between the existing trees. Secondly, it was important to connect the parts of the modular system with the technologies offered by the area and the construction method; on one hand, it must be consistent with the construction criteria and, on the other hand, respect the skills of the people who make up the construction team
The construction techniques are common for those who perform them. The measurements comply with the 3.00 m module, which makes it easy to make replacements and modifications. The redesign is carried out with knowledge of the system and the approximate number of modules to be built, but without the need to impose the final morphology of the building in advance.
It is simply defined by the empty space between the trees of the species to be preserved. Then, on the resulting figure any possible planting variables are taken into consideration and it determines which is the most functional to the programmatic scheme required by the building
