The project, curated by Rizoma Architetture, stems from the desire to create a focus point directed at the city: the structure will be neither a simple hotel nor a dormitory. The goal is to have on the ground floor a space for common activities interconnected with the city, with the large windows of the cafeteria and gym completely open to the outside, drawing attention to the life of this hybrid campus. In fact, the ground floor will not be for the exclusive use of students, but its spaces will be usable by both hotel guests and passers-by
University Campus CX Turin Regina. Neither a simple hotel nor a dormitory, but a space interconnected with the city
The CX Turin Regina project opens its doors within a building overlooking the Po River, which previously housed the Turin institution Edizioni San Paolo. It is the first structure to be opened after the company's Campus X rebranding, embodying its evolution in Turin with 89 student rooms and 32 hotel-use rooms

The inherent intent in the interior project for the CX Turin Regina is to create a new community that uses the common spaces freely and flexibly: on the ground floor, the cafeteria with lounge areas and community table, the gym, and the study room stand as the dualism of Corpore & Mens (Body & Mind); on the second floor, the common kitchen and the terrace for students' lunch breaks, and as one goes up, the panoramic rooftop on the 8th floor from which to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Po River and the Turin hills
The furnishings of the common areas combine iconic pieces of Italian design and production; there are, in fact, many custom elements specifically designed for the needs of each space and for the flexible use that will be made of it. Each component repeats a refinement in the chromaticity, in the material finishes, and in the design of the shapes. The study of color is not limited to furnishings, but also reflects on the architectural finishes in a continuous contrast between pop and soft colors, between hard and soft materials, and between natural textures and glossy mirror finishes
The explosive mood of the common spaces seems to find peace in the rooms, where each guest can find a familiar and intimate environment. Each student has a single room with a wide view equipped with all the comforts for a long stay. Each room is designed to be comfortable and welcoming for the resident and their friends; the bed is designed to be used also as a sofa for a flexible use of the room that allows both relaxation and conviviality
