Internal restyling for a conference center in Egypt. Exclusive working environment
The project, developed by YLAB Arquitectos, an Italian-German design company, focuses on the interiors of a new Edge shopping complex in Cairo, specifically a flexible workspace dedicated to business and conferences
The space is spread over 1500 square meters, has a reception, several meeting rooms, a large conference room, offices, co-working areas, seven training rooms and spaces dedicated to services, such as a cafeteria and a shop
The design idea consists of the creation of three large volumes located in the center, with curved and sculptural shapes, leaving an open space for all around use
The three volumes include the spaces that need the most space, and also contain auxiliary spaces, while the closed offices are located along the facades, using glass partitions that allow the light to circulate
The use of white, ivory, natural elm wood amplifies the size of the spaces and makes the natural light brighter
The closed volumes are made of white satin finish and characterized by indirect led light, while the accesses or the centre of the conference room is covered with wood
