A reference point for the Falzes community, the Casa Associazioni features a state-of-the-art theater and versatile spaces. Roland Baldi Architects have combined design and technology to create a dynamic and welcoming space.
In the heart of Falzes, a picturesque village in the Val Pusteria, a new structure has recently been completed: the House for Associations. This space is intended to become a point of reference for the local community. The studio Roland Baldi Architects, specialized in interior design projects dedicated to cultural spaces, has been tasked with designing the interiors of the building, creating a functional and welcoming environment for cultural and social events.
The beating heart of the Community House is undoubtedly the large theater hall, designed to host a wide range of events. With a capacity of 280 spectators, spread between the stalls and the gallery, the hall offers a high-level experience for theatrical performances, concerts, parties, and events of various sizes.
The stage, located at the front of the room, is completely covered in black and equipped with cutting-edge stage equipment, including lighting and sound reflectors.
Attention to technical details has ensured exceptional acoustics, a result of collaboration with an expert in the field. The slightly inclined wooden panels, arranged along the walls, are designed to regulate sound, avoiding reverberations and optimizing acoustic diffusion.
The walls of the room are covered in oak wood, evoking the idea of a sound box.
From the black ceiling, covered in sound-absorbing material, large spotlights hang to ensure the best possible sound experience.
The use of these materials and techniques has already garnered praise from musicians and audiences for the quality of sound, an essential element for any event.
The floor of the room has been kept flat to ensure maximum flexibility of use. This feature allows adapting the space according to the event: from seating for performances, to configurations with tables, to the possibility of leaving the room completely free. Additionally, a movable dividing wall allows expanding the room towards the foyer, making it ideal for catering events and large parties as well.
Facing the main hall is a spacious foyer with a cloakroom area, ticket office, and a bar. This space serves not only as an entrance to the theater hall, but also as a meeting point for smaller groups or for those using the meeting rooms in the basement. To manage the use of these areas flexibly, the Roland Baldi studio has designed a system of movable velvet curtains, which allow the cloakroom and bar to be hidden or revealed according to the needs of the event.
The use of movable curtains offers a dynamic set design: in addition to the stage curtain, the bar and cloakroom can also be theatrically opened and closed. When not in use, these spaces can be elegantly hidden, creating a variety of scenarios. This scenic concept helps make the House for Associations a vibrant and versatile venue, ready to welcome the community on various occasions.
Thanks to this project, the House for Associations in Falzes becomes a true point of reference for the social and cultural life of the village. A flexible, elegant, and functional space, capable of adapting to the needs of local associations and the community, strengthening the sense of belonging and providing a meeting place for everyone.
