The FIT: Fielmann Italian Training center, the training center of the optical chain, is being built in Verona on a site that has made history in local entrepreneurship, the first production plant of the confectionery company Bauli. Work tradition and trust in continuous training, along with the concept of a home-workshop, permeate the foundations of this project

A familiar and recognizable space to enhance your skills

The acronym FIT: Fielmann Italian Training center was created by the X-TERN architects studio, which oversees the building renovation for the new center, to declare the need for continuous training that keeps the mind and professional performance in shape. The center spans over 900 square meters and offers the company's employees a familiar and recognizable space to update and enhance their skills

Inspired Design of the House-Shop

An expanding trend in interior design projects for spaces dedicated to both education and work is to evoke domestic atmospheres to induce greater comfort in users. At FIT in Verona, the concept is inspired by the house-shop emphasizing the pleasant familiar dimension of the company, despite its considerable size, and drawing inspiration from those of the Italian Renaissance also evoked by the vaulted ceilings of the building

The elegant living room, an optometric welcome chart, and family photos

Just like a home, the Fielmann Italian Training center opens up to the elegant living room: photos depicting the company's evolutionary milestones, like family pictures, serve as a backdrop to an informal and welcoming space where you can chat and relax. On the ceiling, painted in dark gray, a personalized Snellen optometric chart welcomes visitors with phrases in increasingly smaller and faded characters. Finally, a mirrored wall doubles the space and metaphorically declares that you have entered the world of the eye

The FIT Program

The project for FIT materializes a modern, practical, and functional environment, with a well-defined yet informal and familiar identity where Fielmann collaborators can work and train. The center's program includes a reception area, a break area, two meeting rooms for technical-theoretical training and courses on corporate philosophy, two rooms for refraction and contact lens application, a laboratory, a room for IT system training, a consultation room designed to replicate the layout of company stores and Training Management offices
