In general, when approaching the design of a small house, the tendency is to place the staircase in the centre and the various features on its left and right, with the discomfort of always having the internal staircase in sight, not having a wide and clear view of the interior spaces.
House built on a small plot. The interior creates the illusion of larger spaces
The Tato Architects Yo Shimada architectural studio was assigned the task of designing a house on a small plot of land, whose interior spaces will result in a thorough design with the illusion of being larger.

In the project of the House in Kurekawa, the spaces have been divided in such a way that some elements are visible from one point of view and not from another. In this way the illusion of having to deal with a larger space is created.
The interior is divided into many small rooms arranged on different spiral levels and each floor enjoys a limited view. It looks like the spiral can go on forever.
