House in Sotogrande, all the secrets of the minimalist villa in Cadiz

Fran Silvestre Arquitectos designs in Cadiz this elegant architecture with minimal forms, the villa lives between the "shadows" created by the floor plan and the roof plan, the air penetrates on every side, filtered by the immense glass windows

The external structure that protects and shelters

Located in front of the Sotogrande golf course, the villa imposes its living plan between the existing shadow created by the roof plant on that of the ground. House in Sotogrande cleverly designed by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos, a studio specialized in minimalist architecture projects, is formed by a large external structure, almost airy, which allows protection from both the intense sun of Cadiz and the abundant rains from the Grazalema mountain range.

The internal structure

Set back inside there is another structure, an internal body precisely. This has been made of wood which, in addition to ensuring privacy to private spaces, provides the desired warmth for full living comfort.
So there are four elements that animate the project: air, shade, glass, which allows to heat and illuminate the interior, and wood

The villa in continuity with the landscape

The structure allows to "open" the space directly to the landscape, without interruptions. The access is from the upper road.
From this point, you can see the large pool, which gives continuity to the architecture to blend it into the natural environment.
All the materials of the house are in the same warm tone, from the natural stone floor to the wooden ceiling

Shifted levels to ensure shade and shelter

The upper deck structures and those at ground level are "shifted" to create a covered space that can serve as access to the villa and the infinity pool overlooking the golf course.
The ultimate goal is to have the minimum impact on the environment, allowing for enjoying a shaded habitat in Sotogrande
