The Peace Centennial School had already been converted once in the 1980s to house artists' studios and community organisations. The most recent renovation project is divided into two phases, one concerning the building envelope, i.e. the masonry, roof and windows and one concerning the rearrangement of the common parts of the cultural centre on the ground floor

The former Peace Centennial School in Villeray, designed at the turn of the century by architect Percy Erskin Nobbs is being renovated by architecture studio FABG, both in its building enclosure and in the rearrangement of the ground floor
The project required the renovation of the building as well as the replacement of the electromechanical installations. The cultural centre includes an auditorium, an exhibition hall, a cafeteria, an entertainment room and administrative spaces. To underline the new civic vocation of the site, a new square and a tensile structure were added to the front of the building
