Local stone terraces and blue Mediterranean-style windows. Salentine beauty brought back to life

The history of this house dates back more than two hundred years: at first, local craftsmen decided to build two small rooms with modest star vaults; later, a room with a majestic cross vault was added to these volumes and then other more recent rooms were added to fill the courtyard that had been formed

During the renovation of the house, it was decided to demolish the last roof in order to re-establish the original inner courtyard, restoring light, space and air to the building. Then all the installations and finishes were taken care of: puffed chianche made of Lecce stone and micro-cement flooring, pure lime on the walls as well as blue wooden doors and windows

There are terraces where people can relax and sunbathe that can be reached through an old original staircase. Thanks to an old existing volume, it was possible to incorporate a small swimming pool to cool down. Maison salentina has the typical features of the Apulian landscape: strong walls, blue windows and a system of terraces covered with local stone

One of the three terraces is furnished in arabesque style, creating a peaceful setting with Moroccan features. The furnishings are also designed by Acqua di Puglia and are simple and elegant as part of a rural-chic setting that enhances the beauty of Salento, with its shapes and scents, and its raw materials
