New sports facility program

Among the various architecture projects signed by Schemaa, in 2021 the construction of the new sports facility at the Bondy stadium was completed, located in the southeast corner of the lot and its program included a multi-purpose hall, a locker room, the grandstand, a new synthetic field, and the arrangement of some outdoor areas

Architectural volumes attract each other without ever colliding

The building is designed in an L shape and is composed of two distinct elements, like two different architectural registers, which attract each other without ever colliding. The base element of the building is securely anchored to the ground and houses various functions; the other element appears suspended and forms the covering of the former. A partially glazed fault separates the two volumes and allows natural light to enter the multipurpose room

Perforated metal sheets and origami sculpture in concrete

The underside of the roofing element, characterized by strong cantilevered projections, features an animated geometry that varies in heights and shapes with its cladding of perforated metal sheets. The new grandstand is also treated as a concrete origami sculpture that integrates planted terraces between the seating. A band of plants running along the site boundary creates an acoustic barrier and enhances the view from adjacent lots
