The client Project E Beauty approached the architectural firm known for their interior design projects in commercial spaces, to create a transformative design for their workplace that prioritized comfort, inspiration, and sophistication in their operational headquarters in Hong Kong.
Located in an industrial area, the desired space needed to accommodate an open-plan work environment, while also meeting the spatial requirements for a cozy lounge, a reception area, a meeting room, a conference room, a camouflaged warehouse, and a photography space.
Bean Buro through a deep dive into design brings out interesting and unique elements that evoke a sense of playfulness and comfort for Project E Beauty's space. A large circular sliding panel concealing a digital screen in the lounge, custom door handles with grooved contour lines resembling fingerprints, every detail has provided a distinct personality to the designed space.
The entire space has been conceived as a series of interconnected and vibrant spaces dedicated to different functions. The sense of identity has been achieved by combining the warmth of natural materials with bursts of energizing color.
The spatial composition strategy involved revitalizing the corridor leading to the elevator, transforming it into an inviting exhibition area. Additionally, a bar table replaces the traditional reception desk.
This new entrance lounge has achieved a sense of dynamic energy with its unique display wall, housing a digital screen hidden behind a large coral-colored metal panel.
The open-plan workspace features different workstations. The grid ceiling respects the industrial area in which it is situated. The beige architectural volume in the background houses the meeting room, conference room, and photography studio, complete with a hidden storage area.
When selecting materials, warmth in the environment was achieved by using wooden floors and light beige walls. Accents of soft coral brightened up the private office, pantry furniture, and doors, while the subtle blue wall paint and a custom rug complemented the warm color palette. This created a cohesive and comfortable atmosphere that would inspire employees.
The well-being of employees was a key aspect of this project, which is why special attention was paid to lighting, acoustics, and environmental design.
