The view of a new landscape: Place Ravezies an urban oasis

In the heart of the dynamic metropolitan center of Bordeaux, there is a bold and innovative project that redefines the concept of urbanity. The starting point of this reflection is a harmonious tension between asserting a solid presence and allowing the landscape, the garden, and passersby to move freely. The fragmentation, through small vertical volumes and sinuous curves, creates a play of voids and solids that gives life to a vibrant environment full of vitality.

Architecture and nature in synergy

The articulation between the park and Place Ravezies becomes the focal point of the site's repositioning. The architecture unfolds as an extension of the ground, proposing a landscape urbanity made of sequences and fragmented volumes. The buildings, conceived as a topography, blend voids and solids in a progressive height management. The sculpted masses open up to the sky, offering large green terraces that emerge as oases of vegetation. This constant presence of greenery, combined with a density designed for urban dynamism, transforms the project into a green polarity, with biodiversity as a central element. This work is one of the many outdoor projects curated by ECDM Architectes.

A new way of living and working

The project not only redefines physical space but also revolutionizes the way of living and working. Sharing services related to tertiary activities creates a sense of domesticity for these workspaces, offering a more open and less rigid living environment. Thus, a neighborhood is born that not only seamlessly integrates with its surroundings but also promotes a new lifestyle, where architecture and nature blend into a single, harmonious symphony.
