A modern villa with a minimalistic design but iconic, this was the client's desire. Thus, the project of a Villa in Abu Dhabi was born, with essential shapes and refined materials, embodying luxury and comfort.
The villa, designed by UPA studio, is located on a plot of land between a fast-moving road and a narrow stretch of sea. The north entrance front facing the road has been designed with a semi-solid treatment to preserve privacy. The horizontality of the front has been balanced by the volume of the stairs with a cone-shaped form.

On the contrary, the south-facing facade overlooking the water is characterized by large transparent windows and long balconies. In this facade, horizontal and dynamic elements have been deliberately emphasized. The layout of the floor plan has been intentionally tilted compared to the rectangular lot to enhance the view of the main canal. The floor plan has a rectangular and linear layout, starting from the long corridor with the stairs and elevator in a central position.
The villa is developed on three above-ground floors and a semi-basement floor for services. The ground floor, open to the garden and the pool, is dedicated to conviviality and hosting guests. At the entrance, there is a double-height atrium that separates the dining room from the Majilis (the formal reception room). The first floor is dedicated to family life, while the second floor features a fitness gym and a Majilis dedicated to women in modern Moroccan style.
The entire villa has been designed with essential shapes and refined materials, embodying a modern luxury that is minimal yet comfortable. The villa and its main spaces have been designed following a 1.5m module, resulting in floorings with elements measuring 1.5m by 1.5m without cuts or interruptions, a design choice also found in other interior design projects.
The walls of the ground floor have been covered with modern wooden boiserie with an exclusive slat design. This luxurious villa with high-quality interior design uses cutting-edge technical systems such as home automation, integrated with a high-performance automation system.
