The flat was divided by a wall which deprived the interior spaces of natural light and at the same time conditioned visual communication between the various rooms. The removal of some of the walls and their replacement with glass walls helps to establish greater visual contact between the different areas, contributing to a greater sense of closeness between the various family members

The renovation project by Portuguese architectural studio Ren Ito Arquiteto consists of removing internal walls to encourage natural lighting into the spaces as well as visual communication between the various rooms in the home

Although the same architectural language is used for the furniture, walls and doors, the details are customised, such as the lighting above the dining table, which emits light at the same time as the ceiling and the table or another type of added lighting capable of rotating like a clock to illuminate only a certain space in the house
