Wooden elements for a studio in Bolzano. Well-equipped walls define the functions

In Collalbo, near Bolzano, Messner Architects Studio designs its own studio restructuring an open space and dividing the internal space by inserting two mere parallels, completely covered in wood, which incorporate all the functions.

The focal point of the intervention was the reorganization of the internal space. By means of two parallel walls, the interior space is divided into three zones. In this way, a collaborative space is formed at the centre and two more functional spaces at the sides

All three zones have a second level which is reached by a wooden staircase. To build the storage shelves, the wood from the previous parquet floor was used

The distinctive feature of this building, however is its large windows on the south facade, which are real "collectors of light", which break through part of the canopy to allow the light to enter from above. They are real slats, which become a decorative structural element
