On the fifth floor, you'll find the cinema ticket office, as well as the Zhongshuge reading room. The concise design of the bookstore wall creates a ceremonially tasteful reception area, which softens the commercial ambiance of the place. The combination of wood with metal covering creates a refined feel in this space where audiences can wait for the start of the movie
In the conference room, the shelves adopt a step-down design, creating the shape of an abstract mountain that becomes seating, stairs, and a screen for projections. This space is not only for book-related events, but it is also the ideal place to host various activities concerning film culture. After the movie, audiences can sit down and chat at the Zhongshuge cafe. In the Children's Area, cinema-related elements such as projectors, VCRs, and films create a small world that playfully highlights the theme of the location
In the corridor leading from the bookstore to the cinema, X+LIVING has rearranged the arches in the 10-meter high space, forming a perspective with a strong visual impact. The fine texture of the space combined with the overall warm tone creates a cultural atmosphere. The design facilitates a positive flow for customers in various commercial spaces, activates a new business model for movie theaters, and at the same time provides an update to the "retail + entertainment" model for the resurgence of physical bookstores
