Christos Pavlou architecture designs this residential project with a green core to discover a new urban life that interacts with nature, it aims to create green spaces that are terraces and gardens with which the interior merges thanks to large windows.
The need to go out freely to enjoy outdoor spaces and connect with nature has become more important than ever. But once again the subject of the virus has only popped up to highlight what is already known, the desire to accelerate the process of incorporating nature into our cities in creative ways
The design emphasizes the potential of private urban gardens and the microclimates they create to improve living conditions within cities and slow down global warming. The house seeks to establish a unified relationship between the neighborhood, private garden and public park. Urban elements such as building, street and public space are not considered as exclusive activities but as a single homogeneous configuration, the house becomes part of the park and the park is included in the house
The integration of green areas in the house incorporates the planting of gardens on 60% of the ground floor, the use of a green terrace on the second floor, the provision of bee-friendly landscapes and 40 kinds of native wildflowers. All the indoor areas follow the outdoor spaces and are organized around a green central courtyard placed between two white cubic volumes
