The project restores the location to its original built condition by consolidating the façades and giving the manufacture its original unity. The spaces created by the Palma & HANGAR project are organized in a sequence of square rooms measuring 3.6x3.6 m; a procession of corridors and rooms with a domestic character under the open sky, exploring various spatial possibilities through play on floor plan geometries
Projet "Types d'espace" pour le Festival International d'Architecture CONCENTRICO
The "Types of Space" project is located in the passageway of the ancient Tobacco Factory of La Rioja, a narrow and elongated urban space, filled with a monumental red brick chimney

Their domestic scale, so foreign to the city's public space, transforms those who visit from being spectators to inhabitants, offering the opportunity to engage with the structure in a deeper way. The interior rooms provide those who pass through with an unexpected ambiance, granting the user an external condition that reminds them of the public nature of the intervention
These kinds of spaces, "programmatically generic but spatially specific", are constructed using 30x30cm thermo-clay bricks, which provide the project with a familiar feel due to the use of a material so typical of the collective imagination. Additionally, the brick block is the material and spatial unit of both parts of the project, creating a system with a modular appearance
The floor, covered with fragments of discarded bricks, gives the space a material continuity, slowing the passage of those who traverse it and offering a pleasant experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city
