The transformation from a rural house to an elegant bed & breakfast, taking advantage of the state incentive Superbonus 110%, makes Casa Rosa B&B an example of respectful redevelopment of history and effective towards new business needs

Requalification interventions and materials

The house renovation project is carried out by Officina Abitare and consists of structural consolidation of the building, the reconstruction of some floor slabs, includes energy efficiency improvements, and, on the upper floor, the new layout for the creation of four bedrooms with bathrooms for the b&b. The new partition walls are made of plasterboard to ensure lightness and precision, the chosen materials are traditional and sustainable: thermal plasters in natural lime and cork, paintings in natural lime plaster, and, for floors and furnishings, the main protagonist: wood

The B&B project: the ground floor dedicated to hospitality

The ground floor of the rural house, accessed from the wonderful garden, is transformed into the hospitality area and common spaces of the B&B. Guests are welcomed in the ancient living room with a chestnut wood ceiling and inlaid capitals where, around the large fireplace, a cozy relaxation area has been created. The breakfast room, also overlooking the garden, instills peace and calm in the guests and connects to the kitchen through a large arch inserted in a stone wall. A discreet lighting has been designed to provide the appropriate levels of brightness to the hosted functions

The B&B project: the rooms

Through a double-height staircase, which crosses an additional relaxation area arranged in the mezzanine overlooking the woods, you reach the rooms: four mini suites, completely new, each with its own particular quality of natural light and panorama. All the suites are enriched by a bed headboard made of “pastellone” of lime and natural resins and beeswax that blends with the custom-made furniture in Swiss stone pine, known for its relaxing qualities: it improves blood circulation and regulates heart rate while its scent has balsamic and antibacterial properties
