The initial idea of the STARH architecture firm's client was to build a condominium, but during the planning process he decided to build the Umani Hotel, which he will manage himself. The plot of land is significantly sloped from west to east and surrounded by a pristine landscape with valuable tree species and remarkable rock formations
Showing proper respect for the landscape and infusion of serenity for guests at Umani Hotel overlooking the Black Sea
Umani Hotel is located near the Golden Sands Nature Park near the city of Varna, Bulgaria, and faces directly toward the Black Sea. As you stroll through the area, you can see the building slowly appear from behind the oak and maple trees. The hotel is a secluded and serene natural oasis despite the traffic of the nearby Golden Sands Resort

The concept of the project is to create a building that blends into the natural environment, light, airy and unobtrusive; a design that enhances its beauty without being dominant. The design is simple, entirely subordinate to the natural features of the site: a rectangular prism that fits between the tall trees and massive rocks and lands in the park without disturbing
In order to achieve greater camouflage, the facade design features vertical slats of Finnish Тhermоwood, which surround the entire structure. The architects create dynamics by subtracting spaces for loggias from the monolithic volume, which are in turn emphasized by the clean line of glass used for the parapets
The unobstructed and spacious floor plan of the Umani Hotel rooms, together with windows maximized in size, allow maximum enjoyment of the external view, which changes as one progresses in height: from the richness of the vegetation, to the endless expanse of the horizon over the sea that gradually appears
