Villa Selvadolce: a refuge of peace and nature between sky and sea

Immersed in the hills of Bordighera, Villa Selvadolce represents a perfect fusion of architecture and landscape. This project by Giordano Hadamik Architects covers approximately 250 square meters and harmoniously blends into the Ligurian territory, overlooking the Gulf of Montecarlo and the traditional terraces of the area. The villa is a constant dialogue with the surrounding nature, enriched by local materials and eco-sustainable design solutions.

Connection with the Landscape

The villa takes advantage of the terrain's characteristics to reduce visual and environmental impact, developing on a single semi-basement level that follows the hill's morphology. The facades in natural stone, punctuated by large windows, frame breathtaking views of the valley and the sea, bringing natural light and the landscape inside. Thanks to the green roof and stone retaining walls, Villa Selvadolce blends with the natural environment, creating a visual and physical continuity with the surrounding territory.

Sustainable Design and Living Comfort

The eco-friendly approach of this villa is evident in the use of local materials and artisan construction techniques, which reduce energy impact and maximize comfort. The building envelope, semi-subterranean and highly efficient, keeps the villa insulated, allowing for the utilization of passive solar energy without the use of fossil fuels. This attention to detail makes the building akin to a sustainable villa in the style of a passive house, capable of minimizing energy consumption and ensuring optimal living comfort.

Outdoor Spaces: A Dialogue between Interior and Exterior

The Botticino stone solarium and the 12-meter long infinity pool are scenic elements that add charm to the outdoor spaces. The pool, complete with a whirlpool and outdoor shower, opens up to a panorama that embraces the sea and the valley, offering moments of relaxation in total immersion with nature. At the center of the villa, the stone patio acts as a filter between the interior and exterior, creating a perfect outdoor space for lunches and social gatherings.

Interiors: Fluidity and Natural Light

The internal layout of the villa is designed to maximize natural lighting, with an open plan that creates continuity between the living areas and the outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling windows, integrated with hidden frames, accentuate the transparency effect, framing natural views and expanding the perception of space. The living room, equipped with large glass windows and angular windows of about 12 meters, becomes a focal point of the villa, with views that range from the pool to the garden to the sea.

The kitchen, strategically positioned, is framed by internal gardens that bring in natural light and ventilation, making the space convivial and open. The dining area extends towards the patio, where the stone structure and wooden sunshades filter the light, offering a pleasant and protected environment.

A Custom Project for Every Detail

Every detail within Villa Selvadolce is carefully curated to create a timeless design. High-quality materials such as oak wood and natural stone blend harmoniously, while custom-designed furniture maximizes space and functional efficiency. Floor-to-ceiling wooden doors help maintain a continuous flow between the various areas of the house, visually and functionally connecting private and semi-private spaces.
