The former spa area was completely transformed by Firm Arkitekten into a relaxation room. The goal was to create a quiet space with spectacular views of the surrounding mountain landscape of the Austrian Alps. The floor is of rough-cut oak while the ceiling is of Den textile panels and the walls are covered with Swiss pine and Loden textiles
Hotel am Holand. Expansion of a hotel in order to accommodate a myriad of wellness areas
The project envisioned the expansion of Hotel am Holand in order to make room for the spa area, with the idea of lengthening the building without affecting its external appearance. This is how the wellness area was doubled and included a variety of relax spaces that culminated in a large outdoor swimming pool

From the inside, Hotel am Holand surprises with a dark core that includes showers, a sauna, fireplace and two infrared chairs. The floor is also dark and is made of bitumen with small splashes of aluminum. You can walk around the core on different levels with a view to the outside. It is a relaxing walk made by the sound of splashing water and the crackling fire. The outdoor area houses several pools and culminates with the large swimming pool
